Frequently asked questions
What is Neon Singularity?
An original cyberpunk technology modpack and Minecraft server for NeoForge. You get your own world, power it with a hand-cranked dynamo and grow it into a factory across five tiers.
Can I play it now?
Not publicly yet. The project is in active development and there is no public release or public server address yet. Releases will appear on the Downloads page and in the Discord #releases channel.
Which Minecraft version and loader?
Minecraft 26.1.2 with NeoForge 26.1.2.74 or newer. The game and server need Java 25.
Which other mods does it use?
Next to its own content the pack uses Mekanism (with Generators and Tools), Applied Energistics 2, FTB Quests, Some More Blocks, Chipped, Alex's Mobs Continued and Jade. The full list with versions is in modpack/README.md on GitHub.
How will I install it?
With a NeoForge 26.1.2 profile (for example in CurseForge or Prism Launcher) and the client mod pack from the release. Step-by-step instructions will be published with the first release.
Is it free and open source?
Yes. The source code is on GitHub under the MIT license.
How do I report a bug?
Use /bug in our Discord (it opens a short form) or open a GitHub issue. Include your game version, what you did, what you expected and what happened, and a log if the game crashed.
Where can I suggest ideas?
Use /suggest in Discord. Suggestions get a forum post where the community can vote. Accepted ideas go into the design documents and the roadmap.
Can I help?
Yes — report bugs, test development builds as a Tester, or contribute code and art on GitHub. Ask in Discord to get the Tester or Contributor role.
